Hey, I’m Henry, a Personal Trainer working in Blackfriars, the City of London. With my programmes, I focus on achieving absolute health for my clients through personalized nutrition, and a strength and conditioning programme individually tailored to their needs. They range from long term weight loss to rehabilitation for injury, building muscle to athletic performance.

Building muscle on my upper body was a focus for me. I can’t begin to tell you how much my expectations were blown away. I now understand how important my diet is when building muscle. Henry gave me a nutritional plan that was easy to follow but based on my body type, weight and other factors, and tracked my progress using calipers to make sure it was muscle that I was building and not just fat.I never thought that I’d be eating this much great food and be so lean
Henry has a level of investment in his clients that you don’t see with many personal trainers. His evaluation of my fitness levels and aims was in depth and understanding – he’s tailored my sessions specifically to achieve my health goals. In the gym, he’s always friendly and hugely encouraging, with a sense of humour on the side which definitely helps me through when I’m struggling! He strikes a balance between pushing you out of your comfort zone whilst never making you feel like what you’re doing is impossible. I hate dieting, especially fad diets, but Henry’s nutritional advice has helped me kick my sugar addiction and rely on healthy, balanced food. I don’t feel hungry or have mid-afternoon slumps and I now have bags of energy. I never thought that I would come so far so quickly and Henry’s training has made me realise that I can change and that now is the time
With Henry, training is a pleasure (and I never thought I’d say that). Each hour varies from the next and although I feel challenged and work hard, I have fun! I struggle to juggle long hours at work with my personal/home life and hence my tiredness and motivation vary wildly. However from the very first session Henry’s dedication, professionalism, patience and perseverance have been exceptional. I cannot say enough good things about him – as a trainer, he is constantly researching or on courses to build his own knowledge and he really knows his stuff when it comes to nutrition. His informative recommendations around my eating habits are encouragement to make changes to my lifestyle are having such a positive impact on my well being. I feel that Henry really cares about his clients…his help means I’m now achieving more than I thought possible in the 2 months I’ve known him.

Sessions with Henry are about more than just getting some exercise in an otherwise hectic schedule – I have always been one to complain about my physique, hit the gym for a few weeks, see no progress and revert to being a couch potato (and eating far too much of the wrong thing ). This time, working with Henry, I am doing things differently – he has helped me understand what my body needs and address my unhealthy relationship with food (sugar in particular) and realise that this is a lifestyle change – not a quick pre bikini season fix. Each session with Henry is different and tailored to my personal fitness and physical ability – he has taught me that weights aren’t just for men or going to turn me into a green monster!
